Abstract

Methods for maintaining sustainable agricultural cultivation require environmentally friendly technology. Artificial fertilizers are always used by farmers and can be replaced with homemade organic fertilizers that come from natural materials such as the use of bokashi fertilizer from agricultural waste. During plant growth, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) are needed. NPK elements are needed by plants both to support growth and production. The research objective was to determine the interaction between types of bokashi fertilizers (legumes and non legumes) and the dosage of NPK compound fertilizers on the growth and production of large chili plants (Capsicum annum L). The study used a randomized block design (RBD), which was arranged factorial, consisting of 2 factors and repeated 3 times. Factor I: Kinds of bokashi fertilizer (B), consisting of two (2) levels: B1: Bokashi rice straw dose of 20 tons / ha (50 grams / polybag), recommendation 20 tons / ha; B2: Bokashi lamtoro plant dosage of 20 tons / ha (50 grams / polybag), recommendation of 20 tons / ha. Factor II: Dose of compound fertilizer NPK (M), consisting of five (5) levels: M0: 0% of the recommended dose (0 g / polybag), M1: 25% of the recommended dose, recommendation NPK 350 kg / ha (0, 5 g / polybag), M2: 50% of the recommended dose, NPK recommendation 350 kg / ha (1 g / polybag), M3: 75% of the recommended dose, recommendation NPK 350 kg / ha (1.5 g / polybag), M4: 100% of the recommended dose, the recommended NPK 350 kg / ha (2 g / polybag). The results showed 1) there was an interaction between various bokashi fertilizers (legume and non legume) and the dosage of NPK compound fertilizer on plant height, number of leaves, number of fruits and fresh weight of fruit; 2). The highest average production was obtained from B2M4 treatment (20 ton / ha of bokashi leaf lamtoro and compound fertilizer 100% of the recommended dose) as many as 13 pieces per plant; and 3) The determining factor for the successful use of bokashi fertilizer is the nutrient content in the ingredients for making bokashi
