Abstract

Nutrients are one of the factors that support optimal plant growth and development. The impact of using inorganic fertilizers resulted in a high increase in plant productivity. However, the use of inorganic fertilizers for a relatively long period of time generally has a negative impact on soil conditions. The soil hardens quickly, is less able to store water and quickly becomes acidic, which in turn will reduce plant productivity. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use fertilizers that are environmentally friendly and safe for health through the use of organic fertilizers. Organic fertilizers have advantages, including increasing chemical, physical, and biological soil fertility, as well as containing growth regulating substances essential for plant growth. Organic fertilizers are generally complete fertilizers because they contain macro and micro elements even in small amounts. The research objective was to determine the interaction between goat manure dosage and varieties on the growth and yield of eggplant. This experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) arranged factorially, using 2 factors, repeated 3 times. Factor I: Dose of manure (D), which consists of 3 levels, namely: D1 = 10 tonnes / ha, D2 = 15 tonnes / ha, D3 = 20 tonnes / ha, D4 = 25 tonnes / ha. Factor 2: Eggplant variety (V), which consists of 2 levels, namely: V1 = Sriti variety, V2 = Walnut variety. The results obtained conclusions: 1) The dose of goat manure affected the height of eggplant plants at the age of 14 - 49 dst observations, the number of leaves per plant at the age of 14-49 hst, number of fruits per plant and fruit weight per plant, 2) Variety had an effect on height of eggplant plants at the age of 14 - 49 days after planting, number of leaves per plant at 14 and 21 days after planting and weight of fruit per plant; 3) There was no interaction between goat manure and variety doses on all
