EFEKTIVITAS BERMACAM ISOLAT SLNPV SEBAGAI AGENS HAYATI DALAM PENGENDALIAN LARVA Crocidolomia binotalis Zell. (Lepidoptera : Pyralidae) PADA BUDIDAYA KUBIS (Brassica Oleracea Vas Capitata L.)
Abstract
Cabbage head caterpillar (Crocidolomia binotalis Zell) is one of the main pests in cabbage, from the vegetative to the generative phase. This pest attack rate can result in a yield loss of 65.8%. Efforts to reduce the use of synthetic insecticides to control cabbage head caterpillars, a biological control using SlNPV was developed. Proving the effectiveness of using SlNPV in infecting cabbage head caterpillars. The initial step is to conduct a preliminary research using 30 test larvae, and the result is a larvae mortality rate of 63%. This study aims to determine differences in the effectiveness of several SlNPV isolates, namely JTM 97C, Smtr Sl 05A, LpNg 05C, Kalsel 10D, NTB 05C in controlling C. binotalis in cabbage plants. The research method used RAL with 6 treatments of SlNPV isolates. The results showed that isolates originating from East Java Jtm 97C had the highest effectiveness of killing power, with data on the percentage of larval mortality reaching 100% on the sixth day. Meanwhile, isolates from Sumatra Sl 05A, Lampung 05C, South Kalimantan 10D, NTB 05C did not have any killing power at all, with data on the percentage of larvae mortality of 0%. Therefore, JTM 97C isolate has the potential to be developed as a biological agent for controlling C. binotalis
