RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL KAILAN(Brassica Oleracea Varacepala) PADA RAGAM KOMPOSISI MEDIA TANAM DAN DOSIS KOMPOS PAITAN (Tithonia diversifolia

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of various composition of the planting media and the distribution of paitan compost on growth and kailan products. The research was conducted in the experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Wisnuwadhana Malang, starting in Januaru to April 2017 using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factor arranged factorially. Faktor I is the composotion of the planting medium (A)consisting of 3 levels of treatment and Faktor II of paitan compost dose (B) consisting of 3 levels of treatment where each treatment was repeated 3 times. The recearch of result are : (a) the results showed no interaction between the components of the growing media and the dosage of paitan compost fertilizer on all growth parameters and production of kailan plants, (b) differences in the composition of the planting media have not had a significant effect on all growth parameters of kailan crop yields, (c) average plant height, number of leaves, leaf area and wet weight of kailan plant gave a better response when given paitan compost at doses of 20 and 30 ton/ha
