Abstract

Corn subsector and poultry subsector have closed linkage, so application of government policies to one subsector could influence another subsector.  The aim of this study was to develop model that showed the linkage between  corn  subsector with poultry subsector in Indonesia.  Rational expectation model is used in supply response equation to show the change of producer response because of government policies application.  The linkage of corn subsector and poultry subsector is studied by study the impact of application government policies at one subsector to another subsector by using simulation analyses.  The  result of this study showed  that  the change of producer activities as a response to government policies was showed well by using rational expectation model.  Simulation analyzes showed that fertilizer subsidy is the best policy to increase corn production in further to give the better supports to poultry subsector development than other policies.  The result of this study also showed that the rising of corn import was not only caused of the lack of corn domestic production; but also caused of  the problems about domestic corn quality and domestic corn stock continuity
