PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN JENIS DAN KONSENTRASI ZPT SINTETIK PADA PERTUMBUHAN AWAL BIBIT KELENGKENG (Dimocarpus longan Lour.) KULTIVAR LECI TUMPANG

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of type and concentration of plant growth regulator for the growth of synthetic seedlings of Leci Tumpang cultivar seedlings in Sekarpuro Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency. This research has been conducted from February to August 2016. The method used in this research is Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with factorial arrangement approach. First factor as PGR type (A1: Alfatonik and A2: Atonik) and second factor as PGR concentration (D1: 50 ppm and D2: 100 ppm), it will get four treatment combinations like A1D1: sprayed seeds by 50 ppm Alfatonic concentration; A1D2: seed sprayed by 100 ppm Alfatonic concentration; A2D1: sprayed seeds with Atonic concentration of 50 ppm; and A2D2: sprayed seeds with Atonic concentration of 100 ppm. Each treatment combination was repeated four times, and each experimental unit was tripled. Based on the research it can be concluded as (1) the combination of type and concentration treatments has provided interaction on the stem diameter variable at 10 weeks after application variation and leaf area at six and seven weeks after application, (2) PGR type has given significance for all variables, and opposed for PGR concentrations; (3) the lowest result was achieved at a concentration of 50 ppm Alfatonik PGR, and the highest yield was achieved at Atonic concentrations of PGR 50 ppm. The best detail are as follows (1) High seedlings of the highest average of 17.17 cm; (2) The highest number of leaves is 22.67 pieces, (3) The widest diameter of seedlings is 0.33 cm; and (4) The largest total leaf area amounts to 280.20 cm2
