Abstract

The objective of the experiment is to determine the application of several methods and concetration plant growth regulator (Alfatonic 13,46/9,6 Lâ) on plant propagation of Ornamenthal Plant Pucuk Merah. The experiment has conducted on Sekarpuro Village, Pakis Subdistrict, Malang, that activities done on January until May 2015.The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL), which was conducted with 3 stages of the research, namely: (a) first stage as the Pucuk Merah shoots treated by PGR (Alfatonik 13.46 / 9.6 Lâ) with some concentration (2 ppm, 1 ppm , 2/3 ppm) and control (no Alfatonic) for 2 hours of immersion time, (b) second stage as Pucuk Merah fruit treated by PGR (Alfatonik 13,46 / 9,6 Lâ) with some concentration 2 ppm, 1 ppm, 2/3 ppm) and control (no Alfatonik) for 24 hours of immersion time, and (c) third stage as Pucuk Merah seeds treated by PGR (Alfatonik 13,46 / 9,6 Lâ), detailing as follows: K/Control: Seeds are soaked in water for 24 hours; BKPM1: Seed immersed in  Alfatonik solution with concentration 2 ppm for 24 hours; BKPM2: Seed immersed in L Alfatonic solution with concentration 1 ppm for 24 hours; and BKPM3: Seed is soaked in 13,46 / 9,6 Lâ Alfatonik solution with concentration 2/3 ppm for 24 hours. Each treatment was repeated six times, and each repetition was repeated three times. The results of the study were: (a) The treatment of some plant propagation methods and PGR concentrations (Alfatonik 13.46 / 9.6 L â) gave different germination and growth effects. Methods of plant propagation by use of shoot cuttings and fruits do not yield results, whereas the method of seed use yields 100% seeds germinated and growth well, (b) Method of plant propagation with seeds immersed in PGR (Alfatonik 13,46 / 9,6 L â) gives significant and very significant observation for height of seedlings, height of hypocotyl, number of roots and root branches, from first observation to 11. The percentage of observed cotyledon rupture is a significant influence on the 2nd to 5th observations, and observation leaf buds had a significant effect on the 11th observation, and observation of leaf area and total leaf area significantly affected the observations of -6th to 11th, and (c) The best results of BKPM1 for all observation variables, including: highest seedlings an average 4,225 cm; Hypocotyl highest an average of 0.873 cm; The largest number of roots and root branches is 5.18 pieces; The percentage of cotyledon rupture was 100%; The percentage of leaf buds was 100%; The highest sum of leaves is 12.33 pieces; Average unit leaf width of 0.75 cm2; and an average leaf area of 8,804 cm2
